The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489ZQDAX-A4SQ or 489ZQDAXA4SQ, is a one-piece cast iron PTO designed to bolt directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec. The integral housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, reducing potential leak paths compared to bolt-on adapter designs. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 489 Series carries the same intermittent torque rating as the 442 Series. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, and the kit-style design supports easier field service.
