The Chelsea 878LDFJW-M5TS or 878LDFJWM5TS is a constant mesh Power Take-Off from the 878 Series, designed to mount on Allison 10-bolt transmissions. The 878 Series improves on the proven 877 Series design with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and increased steel disc thickness in the clutch pack to reduce the damaging vibrational effects of modern engine designs. Rotatable cast-iron flanges minimize clearance and interference issues, while the Positive Stop feature on driveline outputs eliminates oil seal damage from coupling contact.
