The Chelsea 878 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 878XDFJP-M5RZ or 878XDFJPM5RZ, is a constant mesh PTO engineered for Allison 10-bolt transmissions. It builds on the proven 877 Series design with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and reduce vibration, and an 80% increase in steel disc thickness within the clutch pack. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, and the Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. Common markets include snow and ice, vacuum, aerial, and refuse. A hose is included.
