The Chelsea 878 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 878XDFJW-M5RY or 878XDFJWM5RY, is a constant-mesh PTO engineered to mount on Allison and CAT 10-bolt transmissions. The 878 Series delivers up to 670 lb-ft of continuous torque, a single unified rating covering both intermittent and continuous duty. A ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than the gray iron used in earlier designs, while an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and reduces vibrational damage. Rotatable cast-iron flanges minimize clearance interference issues, and a positive-stop feature on driveline outputs protects oil seals from coupling damage.
