The Chelsea 878 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 878XEFJP-M3XV or 878XEFJPM3XV, is a constant mesh PTO engineered for Allison and CAT 10-bolt transmissions. The 878 Series is an advancement over the 877 Series design, with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and reduce vibration-related damage. Steel disc thickness within the clutch pack has been increased by 80%. The series carries a continuous torque rating of 670 lb-ft. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, and driveline outputs include a positive-stop feature that prevents oil seal damage from coupling contact. A hose is included.
