The Chelsea 878 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 878XEFJP-M5RZ or 878XEFJPM5RZ, is a constant mesh PTO designed for Allison and CAT 10-bolt transmissions. Built around a cast iron housing, the 878 Series delivers a continuous duty torque rating of up to 670 lb-ft in the smallest package in its class. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and cap improves clamp load while reducing vibration-related wear. Rotatable cast iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, and driveline outputs incorporate a positive stop to prevent oil seal damage. Nine speed ratios are available, covering both low and high speed ranges. A hose is included. Common applications include snow and ice, vacuum, aerial, and refuse equipment.
