The Chelsea 878XGFJP-M3RS or 878XGFJPM3RS is a constant mesh power take-off assembly built for Allison 10-bolt transmissions. Part of Chelsea's 878 Series, it improves on the 877 Series with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and reduce vibration damage, and an 80% increase in steel disc thickness within the clutch pack. The cast iron housing supports continuous-duty operation with a single torque rating of up to 670 lb-ft. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. Rotatable cast iron flanges reduce clearance and interference issues, and the Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life 7 to 10 times. A hydraulic hose is included.
