The Chelsea 890 Series Power Take-Off, part number 890HCFJW-B5XS or 890HCFJWB5XS, is a hydraulic hot-shift PTO engineered for Allison 3000 MD and 4000 HD series transmissions. The 890 Series moves the pump mounting flange to the rear of the transmission, positioning the output clear of the frame rail and eliminating the tight clearance problems common on side-mount installations. A one-piece main shaft removes the input splines between the PTO body and the output extension, and the clutch is located at the rear of the housing so the gear section tucks close to the transmission. The SAE C output shaft uses Wet Spline Technology to extend pump spline life in demanding duty cycles. Continuous torque rating for the 890 Series reaches 670 ft-lb, with intermittent torque at 501 ft-lb and above. Shaft power output is 64 HP at 500 RPM and 128 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 10-bolt mounting pattern fits transmissions configured with or without a cooler or retarder.
