The Chelsea 890 Series Power Take-Off, part number 890REFJW-B5XV or 890REFJWB5XV, is a hydraulic PowerShift PTO engineered specifically for Allison 3000 MD and 4000 HD Series transmissions. The 890 Series mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and positions the SAE C output flange at the rear of the transmission, moving the pump mounting point rearward for improved clearance between the pump and the frame rail. A one-piece main shaft eliminates the input splines found in extension-style designs, and the clutch sits at the rear of the PTO housing so the gear section tucks tightly against the transmission. Wet-spline output technology reduces wear on both the PTO and pump shaft in continuous-duty applications. Shaft power output reaches 64 HP at 500 RPM and 128 HP at 1,000 RPM. Typical applications include aerial trucks, fire and rescue, refuse, and truck crane service where pump space is limited and high torque is required.
