The Chelsea 890RFFJW-B5XY or 890RFFJWB5XY is a hydraulic PowerShift PTO assembly from the 890 Series, engineered specifically for Allison 3000 MD and 4000 HD Series transmissions. It mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and positions the SAE C output flange at the rear of the transmission, moving the pump mounting point rearward to gain clearance between the pump and the frame rail. The one-piece main shaft eliminates the input splines found on conventional PTO-plus-extension designs. The clutch sits at the rear of the unit, allowing the housing and gear section to tuck tightly against the transmission for improved clearance. An additional bracket at the rear of the transmission provides supplemental support alongside the standard side-mount points. The 890 Series can be ordered for transmissions equipped with a cooler, a retarder, both, or neither.
