The Chelsea 897FDFJW-M5XS or 897FDFJWM5XS is a constant mesh Power Take-Off Assembly built for Allison 3000 and 4000 Series transmissions. It uses a 10-bolt mounting configuration and positions the SAE C output flange at the rear of the transmission, moving the pump interface rearward to create working clearance between the pump and the frame rail. The main shaft is a single one-piece design, eliminating input splines between the PTO and the output extension. Wet Spline Technology lubricates the output to reduce wear in demanding duty cycles. Continuous-duty torque capacity reaches 670 lb-ft, with intermittent torque rated at 501+ lb-ft. Shaft power output is 64 HP at 500 RPM and 128 HP at 1,000 RPM.
