The Chelsea 897 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 897RDFJW-M5XV or 897RDFJWM5XV, is a constant-engagement PTO engineered for Allison 3000 and 4000 Series transmissions. It uses a 10-bolt mounting configuration and positions the SAE C output flange at the rear of the transmission rather than the side, tucking the housing tightly against the transmission to free up critical clearance for the pump. The one-piece main shaft eliminates the input splines found in a conventional PTO-plus-extension setup. Wet Spline output technology reduces wear on the PTO and pump shaft in demanding, continuous-duty cycles. Continuous torque capacity reaches 670 ft-lb; intermittent torque is rated at 501+ ft-lb.
