The factory parts list carries it in the mainshaft assembly of the FS-4205A, FS-4205B, FS-4205C, FS-5205A, FS-5205B and FS-5205C as item 14, the 2/3 synchronizer assembly, and in the FS-5306A and FS-5406A as item 6, the 5/6 synchronizer assembly, quantity 1 per assembly in each. A synchronizer matches the speed of a gear to its shaft before the teeth mesh, so a shift goes in without a clash.
