The Muncie CS8D-S6812-A1PW (also referenced as CS8DS6812A1PW) is a CS8 Series power take-off unit featuring an 8-bolt clutch shift design. It accepts 19 transmission input gears, covering most popular automatic and manual transmissions including Allison 1000/2000 series. Direct mount pump flanges conform to SAE "A", "B", and "BB" standards as well as DIN 5462, and the flanges are rotatable to maximize clearance in tight installations. Three remote mount output shaft options are available in keyed and flange configurations for flexible pump drive setups. The patented Muncie drag brake prevents output shaft rotation when the PTO is in the OFF position. An optional pulse generator supports System Protection Device shaft speed monitoring.
