The Muncie SS66 Series Split Shaft Power Take-Off, part number SS66-U2X3-A00XX or SS66U2X3A00XX, mounts in the driveline to create two 6-bolt PTO apertures where the main transmission has none or where access to a second opening is restricted. It uses the main vehicle driveshaft as its input and, when engaged, disconnects drive to the rear axle to power auxiliary equipment. The SS66 is rated for up to 2,900 lb-ft of through-shaft torque and is sized for chassis applications up to Class 5. Engagement is via air-shift or heavy-duty push/pull cable.
