The Muncie SS66-U2X3-E00XX or SS66U2X3E00XX is a split shaft power take-off from the SS66 Series, designed for applications where two 6-bolt PTO apertures are required and no suitable transmission openings are available, or where space at the transmission restricts access. It mounts in the main vehicle driveline and uses the driveshaft as its input. When engaged, the main driveshaft is disconnected from the rear axle, directing power to auxiliary equipment. The SS66 accepts common PTO series such as the TG or CS6 at each aperture. Engagement is via air-shift or heavy-duty push/pull cable. Typically applied on chassis up to Class 5.
