The Muncie SS66-U2X3-C00XXX or SS66U2X3C00XXX is a split shaft power take-off designed to mount in the main vehicle driveline and deliver two 6-bolt PTO apertures where the transmission offers none, or where a second opening is inaccessible. When engaged, the main driveshaft disconnects from the rear axle, routing power to auxiliary equipment. The SS66 series is rated for a maximum thru-shaft torque of 2,900 lb-ft and accepts Spicer 1410 and 1500/1510 series through-shaft flanges. Both PTO openings are compatible with common series such as the TG and CS6. Engagement is via air shift or heavy-duty push/pull cable. Typical chassis application runs up to Class 5.
