Sold as a 5-piece pack, this pinion adjustment shim measures .012 in. thick with overall dimensions of 1 in. x 1 in. x 10 in. It fits between the pinion gear and bearing in a Mack differential, allowing technicians to set proper pinion depth and preload during setup or rebuild for correct gear mesh with the ring gear. The shim is made by PAI as a replacement for Mack differential applications.
