The Chelsea 272FPLLP-B8RE is a 272 Series 6-Bolt hot shift Power Take-Off designed for medium-duty truck applications including aerial, construction, water truck, and towing and recovery equipment. The 272 Series supports intermittent torque ratings from 201 to 300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) and is available with pneumatic or hydraulic shift, with an integral air control valve included. The series consolidates the earlier 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 Chelsea PTO lines into a single, flexible platform offering nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options. Direct mount outputs feature an optional Wet-Spline design for extended PTO and pump shaft service life, while driveshaft outputs support the Smart-Start option for high-torque startup conditions.
