The Chelsea 489XLITX-A5GL is an 8-bolt Power Take-Off unit from the Chelsea 489 Series, designed to mount directly to 8-bolt manual transmission openings found on Eaton Fuller, Mack, Tremec, and similar gearboxes. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a common leak path and reducing installation time. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and draws on wire/cable mechanical shift actuation. Output is through a 1-1/4" round keyed shaft. Internal components are common with the Chelsea 442 Series, and the tapered bearing design provides greater load-bearing capability than needle-bearing alternatives.
