The Chelsea 878LCFJW-M5TS is a constant mesh power take-off from the Chelsea 878 Series, designed to mount on Allison 10-bolt transmissions. The 878 Series features a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than the gray iron cap used on its predecessor, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and clutch pack steel discs that are 80% thicker than the prior design. The series supports up to 670 lb-ft of torque in continuous duty applications and covers nine speed ratios including both low and high speeds. Output options across the 878 Series include SAE B, SAE BB, and SAE C pump spline configurations as well as companion flange and DIN flange outputs. A wet spline lubrication option is available for extended shaft service life. Common applications include refuse, vacuum, aerial, and snow and ice equipment. Available from Pro Gear and Transmission.
