The Chelsea 878XBFJP-M3XV is a constant mesh Power Take-Off from the 878 Series, engineered to mount on Allison and CAT 10-bolt transmissions. The 878 Series delivers up to 670 lb-ft of torque in both intermittent and continuous duty applications, making it one of the highest-torque PTOs available in its mounting class. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than the gray iron cap used in predecessor designs, and an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and reduces vibrational stress. Steel disc thickness within the clutch pack has been increased by 80% compared to the prior generation. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed requirements. A wet spline lubrication option is available for extended shaft service life. Available output shaft configurations include SAE B, SAE BB, and SAE C pump splines, plus companion flange and DIN flange options.
