The Chelsea 272ADKUP-B5RY or 272ADKUPB5RY is a 272 Series hot shift power take-off built on a 6-bolt mount with a 1-1/4" round output shaft and a 5/16" key. Shift options include pneumatic (air) and PowerShift pneumatic/hydraulic, with an integral air control valve included. The 272 Series consolidates earlier Chelsea medium-duty PTO lines into one platform with 9 speed ratios and 18 shift configurations. Continuous torque capability reaches 300 lb-ft (407 Nm); intermittent torque is rated at 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). Output power is rated at 56+ HP (41-50 kW). The Chelsea 272 Series consolidates the earlier 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 Series medium-duty hot shift PTOs into a single platform. The series offers 9 speed ratios and 18 shift configurations, making it one of the most flexible 6-bolt hot shift PTO lines available for medium-duty applications. Direct mount outputs offer an optional Wet-Spline feature for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output configurations can include the Smart-Start option, designed for high-torque start-up conditions. Common applications for the 272 Series include aerial equipment, construction equipment, towing and recovery, and water trucks.
