489GQAHX-A5RK Chelsea PTO

The Chelsea 489GQAHX-A5RK or 489GQAHXA5RK is a Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The integral one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft and delivers shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. The Chelsea 489 Series PTO shares internal parts with the Chelsea 442 Series, making service components broadly available. The one-piece cast iron housing design provides the same torque capacity as the 442 Series (250 lb-ft) while integrating the 8-bolt mount directly into the housing. Twenty-seven output options are available within the 489 Series, including a 360-degree rotatable flange with greaseable shaft to reduce pump shaft spline fretting and corrosion. Eleven internal speed ratios are offered across the series. Typical applications include utility trucks, dump trucks and trailers, snow and ice removal equipment, and fire and rescue vehicles.
