The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XAAHX-A3AZ or 489XAAHXA3AZ, is a mechanical-shift PTO built for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt mounting aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec gearboxes. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening, eliminating the adapter plate used on earlier designs and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series carries the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series, and uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for improved load capacity.
