The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XAAHX-A3RK or 489XAAHXA3RK, is a mechanical-shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to compatible transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec, eliminating the adapter plate that standard designs require. The 489 Series carries the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series, with tapered bearings in place of needle bearings for greater load-handling capability. Output is via a 1-1/4" round keyed shaft, and shift is accomplished by wire or cable mechanical actuation. Common internal parts with the 442 Series simplify servicing.
