The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off 489XAAHX-V5RB or 489XAAHXV5RB is a mechanical-shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings, including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The integral one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt aperture, eliminating the adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-carrying capability. Common applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, and snow and ice removal equipment.
