The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off 489XCITX-A3XR or 489XCITXA3XR is an 8-bolt PTO designed for most manual transmissions, including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The integral one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical. The 489 Series is rated for 201 to 300 lb-ft intermittent torque and delivers 46 to 55 HP output. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Common applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, snow and ice removal equipment, and fire and rescue vehicles.
