The Chelsea 489XHAHX-P5XY or 489XHAHXP5XY is a Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off (PTO) built for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec gearboxes. The integral 8-bolt cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, reducing potential leak paths. This unit uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load capacity. The 489 Series delivers up to 250 lb-ft torque capacity and shifts via wire/cable mechanical actuation.
