The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off 489XLAHX-V3RD or 489XLAHXV3RD is a mechanical-shift PTO built for most 8-bolt manual transmission openings, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt aperture, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Tapered bearings replace the needle bearings used in some comparable units, improving load-bearing capability. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft and delivers up to 55 HP output, with shaft power ratings of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM.
