The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off 489XLARX-A3XK or 489XLARXA3XK mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions, including Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, and Tremec. The integral one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, reducing potential leak paths compared to bolted-on designs. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers a 1-1/4" round keyed output shaft. The 489 Series shares its internal parts with the Chelsea 442 Series and uses tapered bearings instead of needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
