The Chelsea 489XQAHX-A5RF or 489XQAHXA5RF is a 489 Series Power Take-Off unit built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec gearboxes. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt aperture, eliminating the adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths compared to designs that require a separate adapter. This unit uses the wire/cable mechanical shift type and delivers a 1-1/4" round keyed output shaft. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft, consistent with Chelsea's 442 Series capacity. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for improved load capability.
