The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XUAHX-M3XK or 489XUAHXM3XK, is a constant mesh PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings on trucks running Eaton Fuller, Eaton Endurant, Mack, Tremec, and similar gearboxes. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening, eliminating the adapter plate used on some comparable units and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft and delivers shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1000 RPM. Output is via an SAE B 2 or 4-bolt flange with a 7/8-inch 13-tooth SAE B shaft. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity.
