The Chelsea 890HDFJW-B5ZS or 890HDFJWB5ZS is a hydraulic PowerShift (hot-shift) power take-off built specifically for Allison 3000 MD and 4000 HD series transmissions. It mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and delivers an SAE C ("XS") output shaft with wet-spline technology, which extends PTO and pump shaft life under demanding duty cycles. The 890 Series positions the pump mounting flange to the rear of the transmission, a one-piece main shaft design that eliminates input splines between the PTO body and the output extension, improving pump clearance without adding an extension unit. Continuous torque rating reaches 670 ft-lbs; intermittent torque is rated at 501+ lb-ft. Shaft power output is 64 HP at 500 RPM and 128 HP at 1,000 RPM. Common applications include aerial trucks, fire and rescue, refuse trucks, and truck cranes. Call us to confirm proper fit for your application.

Additional Information
The Chelsea 890 Series is a single-unit PTO, not a PTO paired with a bolt-on extension. Its clutch is located at the rear of the housing, allowing the gear section to sit tightly against the transmission body for improved frame-rail clearance. An additional bracket at the rear of the transmission provides supplemental support. The series is available for transmissions equipped with or without a cooler, a retarder, or both. Typical service environments include aerial lift trucks, fire and rescue apparatus, snow and ice equipment, pumper-cleaner trucks, truck cranes, and refuse vehicles.
