The Chelsea 890 Series Power Take-Off, part number 890MEFJW-B5XK or 890MEFJWB5XK, is a hydraulic PowerShift PTO engineered specifically for Allison 3000 MD and 4000 HD Series transmissions. The 890 Series mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and positions the pump output to the rear of the transmission, giving aerial, fire and rescue, and refuse truck applications the clearance they need. A one-piece main shaft eliminates the input splines between the PTO and output extension. The SAE C output with Wet Spline Technology extends pump shaft life in demanding duty cycles. The Chelsea 890 Series is a single-unit PTO, not a PTO with a separate extension. The clutch is located at the rear of the housing, allowing the gear section to tuck tightly against the transmission for improved frame-rail clearance. An additional bracket at the rear of the transmission provides supplemental support beyond the standard side-mount footprint. Typical applications include aerial trucks, fire and rescue apparatus, pumper cleaners, truck cranes, refuse trucks, and snow and ice equipment.
