The Chelsea 890 Series is a single-unit PTO, not a PTO with a bolt-on extension. The main shaft is one piece, eliminating the input splines that exist between a standard PTO body and a separate output extension. The clutch is positioned at the rear of the housing, allowing the gear section to sit tightly against the transmission for tighter clearance. The unit mounts like a conventional side-mounted PTO but includes an additional support bracket at the rear of the transmission. It can be configured for transmissions equipped with a cooler, a retarder, both, or neither.
