The Chelsea 890MCFJW-B5XS or 890MCFJWB5XS is a hydraulic PowerShift PTO from the Chelsea 890 Series, designed specifically for Allison 3000 MD and 4000 HD Series transmissions. It mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and delivers an SAE C (XS) output shaft with Wet Spline Technology to extend pump shaft life in demanding service. The 890 Series locates the pump output to the rear of the transmission, fitting between the transmission and frame rail to maximize pump clearance. A one-piece main shaft eliminates input splines between the PTO and output extension, and the clutch is positioned at the rear of the housing so the gear section tucks tightly against the transmission. The Chelsea 890 Series was engineered as a single-unit PTO, not a PTO with a bolt-on extension. This matters in tight engine compartments: the housing and gear section tuck directly against the transmission, while the clutch at the rear of the unit creates clearance for the pump.
