The Chelsea 272 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 272MAAJP-G5XR or 272MAAJPG5XR, is a 6-bolt hot-shift PTO designed for medium-duty applications in towing and recovery, aerial, construction, and water truck service. It uses pneumatic (air) shift with a PowerShift pneumatic/hydraulic option and includes an integral air control valve. The 1-1/4" round output shaft accepts a 5/16" key. Continuous torque capability for this series reaches 300 lb-ft (407 Nm); intermittent torque falls in the 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) range. Output power is rated at 56+ HP (41-50 kW), with shaft power of 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM.
