The Chelsea 272 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 272MCAJP-A5XD or 272MCAJPA5XD, is a 6-bolt hot shift PTO built for medium-duty applications in towing and recovery, aerial, construction, and water truck work. It mounts to transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Ford, Aisin, Volvo/Mack, and RAM, among others. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" key. Shift is pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic), with an integral air control valve included. The 272 Series carries a continuous torque rating of 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) and an intermittent torque rating in the 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) range.
