The Chelsea 272 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 272NBHVP-G5RB or 272NBHVPG5RB, is a 6-bolt medium-duty hot shift PTO designed for demanding mobile equipment applications. It features a 1-1/4" round output shaft with a 5/16" key and supports both pneumatic and PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) engagement. Continuous torque capability reaches 300 lb-ft (407 Nm), with intermittent torque rated at 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). The Chelsea 272 Series consolidates and replaces the earlier 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 Series PTOs into a single medium-duty platform. The series offers nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options. Direct-mount configurations are available with optional Wet-Spline technology for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output configurations include the Smart-Start option, which is engineered for high-torque start-up conditions. The integral air control valve is included as standard. Rotatable flanges allow installation flexibility.
