The Chelsea 272 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 272NCHVP-B5XR or 272NCHVPB5XR, is a 6-bolt hot-shift PTO designed for medium-duty truck applications including towing and recovery, aerial, construction equipment, and water trucks. It features a 1-1/4" round output shaft with a 5/16" key and supports both pneumatic and PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) engagement. Continuous torque capability reaches 300 lb-ft (407 Nm), with intermittent torque rated at 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). Output power tops 56 HP at rated shaft speed. The 272 Series consolidates earlier Chelsea PTO lines, including the 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271, into one platform. Sold by Pro Gear and Transmission.
