The Chelsea 272 Series consolidates several earlier medium-duty hot shift PTO lines -- including the 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 series -- into a single, more flexible platform. The series offers nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options. The 272 includes rotatable flanges and an integral air control valve as standard. A Wet-Spline option (designated by a "W" in the part number suffix) is available for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. A Smart-Start option addresses high-torque startup conditions on driveshaft output configurations.
