The Chelsea 272 Series power take-off assembly, part number 272XPJWX-A5XD or 272XPJWXA5XD, is a 6-bolt hot-shift PTO designed for medium-duty truck applications. It features a 1-1/4" round output shaft with a 5/16" key and supports both pneumatic and PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) engagement. The 272 Series carries a continuous torque rating up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) and an intermittent torque range of 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). Shaft power output is rated at 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. Compatible transmission manufacturers include Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Ford, Aisin, Volvo/Mack, and RAM, among others.
