The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GBFJP-B3RK or 281GBFJPB3RK, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly used on Allison transmissions. It delivers a continuous torque rating of 390 lb-ft (529 Nm) and supports nine speed ratios spanning low and high ranges. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, adding a ductile iron bearing cap that is 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap, and clutch pack steel discs that are 80% thicker to resist premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference issues at the pump mount. Applications include fire and rescue, refuse, truck cranes, and pumper-cleaner equipment.
