The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GCFJP-G5RF or 281GCFJPG5RF, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly used on Allison transmissions. The 281 Series builds on the proven 280 Series platform with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an 80% thicker clutch pack steel disc, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and resist engine-induced vibration. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges, and the series-rated continuous torque is 390 lb-ft. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump clearance issues.
