281GCFJP-G8BD Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281GCFJP-G8BD or 281GCFJPG8BD is a 281 Series hydraulically shifted, hot-shift Power Take-Off built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. As an evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 Series introduces a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an 80% increase in clutch pack steel disc thickness to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios span low and high speeds. Rotatable cast-iron flanges ease pump clearance, and the optional wet spline lubrication provides 7 to 10 times greater shaft life.
