The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GCFJR-D5RY or 281GCFJRD5RY, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly used on Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. It delivers nine speed ratios spanning low and high ranges, with a single continuous-duty torque rating up to 390 lb-ft. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and resists vibrational effects from modern engine designs. The clutch pack uses steel discs that are 80% thicker than the predecessor 280 Series to resist premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference fit issues, and the Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) and the SmartStart feature are included to protect driven equipment and reduce start-up shock load. The hose is included, no separate order required.
