The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off assembly, part number 281GCFJW-B8RY or 281GCFJWB8RY, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison transmissions. As an evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 Series carries a series continuous torque rating of 390 lb-ft (529 Nm) and delivers output power of 56+ HP. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, the clutch pack uses steel discs 80% thicker than the prior generation, and an o-ring sealing configuration improves clamp load and reduces the effects of engine vibration.
