The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off (part number 281GCFJW-D8RY or 281GCFJWD8RY) is a hydraulically shifted, hot-shift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, carrying forward a continuous-duty torque rating of 390 lb-ft and adding meaningful structural upgrades: a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and an 80% thicker clutch-pack steel disk for reduced tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) and optional Wet Spline Lubrication are included in the feature set.
