The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GDFJP-B3SD or 281GDFJPB3SD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for 10-bolt aperture automatic transmissions, including Allison applications. It mounts with a 10-bolt pattern and carries a continuous torque rating of 390 lb-ft (529 Nm). Nine speed ratios cover both low- and high-speed output demands. The 281 Series builds on the proven 280 Series platform with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap, and an enhanced clutch pack featuring steel discs 80% thicker than the previous design.
